E-charge
The e-Charge service is offered across Cyprus by the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) to electric vehicle users. Through this service, EV drivers have access to safe and reliable charging at public locations where EAC has installed charging stations.

e-charge Station
The main objective of the e-Charge service is to promote electric mobility in Cyprus, encouraging environmental protection through the reduction of carbon emissions, and contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment for Cyprus and its society.
The e-charge service is controlled and managed by the Non-Regulated Activities Unit of EAC and monitors the charging of electric vehicle throughout the duration of the charging. The electric vehicle charging stations installed by EAC are using Mode 3 and Mode 4 charging with two-way communication between the vehicle and the charging station throughout the duration of the charging period. There are two Type 2 CCS και Chademo sockets in each charging station, in accordance with the international standards and recommendations of the European Commission and Eurelectric.
The installed stations provide charging of up to 22kW(3-Ph) during normal charging and up to 120kW DC during fast charging. There are two sockets in each charging station, which can accommodate simultaneous charging of two electric vehicles.
Charging stations are installed in selected public locations to ensure wide coverage across Cyprus for EV users.
The e-charge service is provided through the EAC e-charge app, which can be downloaded on your smartphone/tablet operating either with Android or iOS, hence additional operational features can be provided. Through the application, the users can monitor their charging sessions giving them the ability to start and stop sessions, check the availability of chargers and access information on previous charging sessions.
