Electrical installation inspection

To submit an application for an electrical installation inspection, follow these steps:

1. Deliver the application in a sealed envelope containing all the necessary forms and drawings, and placed in a box located at the reception desk of each District Office. You may also submit an application at the EAC offices in Paralimni and Kakopetria, and at the Customer Service Centre in Linopetra, Limassol.
2. The file number of the case must be indicated on the envelope. If the file to be submitted concerns another District, then the name of the other District should also be written on the envelope.
3. The application submission boxes will be opened twice a day and will be examined either on the same day or the next day. In each box there will be a list with serial numbers to maintain the order of attendance, with the name, case number and signature of the applicant.
4. All necessary forms for each case can be found on the EAC website and can be downloaded and completed either by hand or electronically.
5. The cases can be categorised as follows:

Inspection of a new installation and Re-inspection of an existing installation after changes
Small Scale Inspection
Inspection for a Temporary Single-Phase Supply
Inspection for Photovoltaic Net Metering
Inspection for Photovoltaic Net Billing
Inspection for Photovoltaic in the Competitive Market

6. After examining the application, the applicant will be informed of the date of the inspection by the Network User Service Centre – Installation Inspections by email. In case the application is incomplete, the applicant will be informed by email and will be asked to resubmit the forms and include missing documents within one week, after which the original file will be destroyed.
7. If a fee must be paid, the applicant will receive the corresponding invoice again by email.
8. The applicant will also receive an email to sign a contract with a provider before the installation inspection.
9. In the event of a repeat of the initial inspection due to deviations or omissions in the installation, the debit invoice will be sent again by EMAIL. Once settled, a copy of the payment will be sent to the Network User Service Centre to schedule a new inspection.
10. All of the above constitute the first Phase regarding the submission of an application for an installation or photovoltaic inspection. The second Phase will follow soon afterwards, for which the application will be submitted electronically. The applicant will be informed.
