EAC – NET BILLING AND VIRTUAL NET BILLING

EAC Supply wishes to remind its customers that, following the announcement by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry on 30 September 2025, the “Scheme for Electricity Production from Renewable Energy Sources for Self-Consumption” has been extended until 31 December 2025.

EAC Supply previously announced on 31 December 2025, that as of 1 January 2026, it will exclusively sign contracts for Net Billing and Virtual Net Billing. These new contracts will be offered to customers who submitted an application to the Distribution System Operator (DSO) for the connection of their photovoltaic system on or after 1 January 2026.

It is noted that the provisions for Net Billing and Virtual Net Billing essentially involve the offsetting of measurements between electricity imported from the grid to the premises and electricity exported to the grid from the RES (Renewable Energy Sources) system.

In the event that exported energy exceeds imported energy, the consumer will be credited with a monetary amount for the next billing period. This credit represents the financial difference resulting from the offset between the exported and imported energy.

The relevant compensation rates for surplus electricity produced and injected into the grid are posted on the EAC website.

EAC Supply contracts, you may visit the official website at EAC Supply or any of its Customer Service Centers.
