The Cyprus Association for Children with Cancer and Related Conditions, “One Dream One Wish,” is organizing its 26th annual “Route of Love,” taking place between March 11–15, 2026.
For many years, the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has consistently supported the efforts of “One Dream One Wish.” The goal of this motorcycle marathon is to raise public awareness regarding the multifaceted challenges faced by children and young people suffering from various forms of cancer, as well as to collect funds to fulfill the wishes of these patients.
By tradition, the start of the second day of the route takes place outside the EAC Head Office. This year, the departure from the EAC Offices occurred on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 7:30 a.m.
The General Manager of the EAC, Mr. Adonis Yιasemides, welcomed the motorcyclists and volunteers, emphasizing that: “Through their efforts, they help ensure that children and their families receive much-needed financial and psychological support in their difficult battle against cancer. Furthermore, the funds raised will allow these children’s wishes to come true. This is the greatest reward for every volunteer. The children fighting this battle, and their families, need our practical solidarity. Actions like today’s prove in the best possible way that no one is left alone during their most difficult moments.”
The Chairman of the “One Dream One Wish” Association, Mr. George Penintaex, saw the motorcyclists off at the start of the “Route of Love” and thanked the EAC for its hospitality and long-standing support for children suffering from cancer.
It is our collective wish that the starting point of the 26th “Route of Love” also marks the beginning of the better days we all hope for.
