The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) informs the public that on Thursday, 23 April 2026, all EAC Customer Service Centres and Offices will remain closed due to a 24-hour island-wide strike announced by the Trade Unions.
The operation of critical infrastructure affecting consumers is not expected to be impacted by the strike. To ensure the uninterrupted supply of electricity, essential security personnel are exempt from these measures.
The Organisation reminds customers that bills can be paid electronically, easily and securely, via the following methods:
Through the EAC website: www.eac.com.cy
Through the free EAC Mobile App
Through online banking services
At all Post Offices island-wide
Additionally, applications for new customers, connections, disconnections, and transfers can be submitted via email. The EAC website also provides the option to track the progress of applications for Distribution Network connections and Photovoltaic Systems.
The EAC apologises for any inconvenience caused and reassures the public that it is making every effort to ensure the safe and reliable supply of electricity to consumers.
