Electrical Installation Inspection

To submit an application for an electrical installation inspection, the following steps must be followed:

1. The application will be delivered in a closed envelope containing all the necessary forms and drawings and placed in a box located at the reception desk of each District  Office. It is also possible to submit an application at the EAC offices in Paralimni, Kakopetria and at the Customer Service Center in Linopetra, Limassol.

2. The file number of the case will be indicated on the envelope with the forms and drawings. If the file to be submitted concerns another District, then the name of the other District will also be indicated on the envelope

3. The application submission boxes will be opened twice a day and will be examined either on the same day or the next day. In each box there will be a list with serial numbers to maintain the order of attendance on which the applicant can write his name, the case number e.g. 400100100 and sign.

4. All necessary forms for each case can be found on the EAC website hereunder and can be downloaded and completed either by hand or electronically

5. The cases can be categorized as follows:

Inspection of a new installation and Re-inspection of an existing installation after changes
Small Scale Inspection
Inspection for a Temporary Single-Phase Supply
Inspection for Photovoltaic Net Metering
Inspection for Photovoltaic Net Billing
Inspection for Photovoltaic in the Competitive Market

6. After examining the application, the applicant will be informed of the date of the inspection by the Network User Service Centre – Installation Inspections via EMAIL. In case the application is incomplete, the applicant will be informed via EMAIL and will be asked to resubmit the forms that were not correctly completed or were not attached. In this case, the applicant must respond within one week, otherwise the original file will be destroyed.

7. In the event that a sum of money must be paid, the applicant will receive the corresponding invoice again via EMAIL and will proceed with the payment of the invoice in the manner in force to date.

8. The applicant will also receive an EMAIL that will urge the applicant to sign a contract with a provider before the installation inspection.

9. In the event of a repeat of the initial inspection due to deviations or omissions in the installation, the debit invoice will be sent again via EMAIL, which, after being paid, will be sent a copy of the payment to the Network User Service Centre to set a new inspection date.

10. All of the above constitute the first Phase regarding the submission of an application for an installation or photovoltaic inspection. The second Phase will follow soon, during which the application will be submitted electronically. You will be informed about the second Phase in due course.
