Revised Public Obligations Fee​​

​​Following an EAC study and subsequent proposal, the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) approved, by its Decision 407/2024, ​a revision to the Public Service Obligations (PSO) fee from €0,00102/kWh to €0,00051/kWh from 1 January 2025.

Specifically, the revised PSO fee will be applied to the bills of consumers who pay monthly, whose meter readings will start from the end of January 2025 and to the bills of consumers who pay every two months, whose meter readings will start on 1 January 2025.

The PSO fee is applied in accordance with the relevant legislation, in accordance with which the Minister of Energy exercised his right in consultation with CERA to impose on suppliers of electricity a lower charge per unit to specific categories of vulnerable consumers.
