The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) informs that, following the decision of the competent Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry on November 28, 2024, two new categories of beneficiaries have been included in the special domestic tariff for specific vulnerable consumers with code 08 as of December 1, 2024. These categories are:
Beneficiaries of the Low-Income Pensioners’ Allowance from the Welfare Benefits Administration Service of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare.
Single-parent families receiving the Single-Parent Family Allowance, in addition to the Child Benefit, from the Welfare Benefits Administration Service of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare.
It is reminded that the application can be submitted by the customer in whose name the electricity bill is issued by the EAC. The customer or another person permanently residing at the same residence must be among the beneficiaries eligible for the special domestic tariff with code 08.
The application is available on the EAC website via the link EAC – Beneficiaries of the Tariff with Code 08 and can be submitted in one of the following ways, depending on the region of the property:
