The Electricity Authority of Cyprus wishes to inform the public that the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA), by its Decision No. 008\/2023, has approved new Fuel Adjustment Coefficients for tariffs.<\/p>\n
It is noted that the Fuel Adjustment Coefficients, according to which EAC tariffs \u200bincrease or decrease, are in force in order to adjust each unit of electricity that is invoiced or purchased, for every 1 cent increase or decrease to the basic fuel price of \u20ac300 per metric tonne, the cost of which EAC will determine for the month\/two months based on the current market price of fuel.<\/p>\n
The new Fuel Adjustment Coefficients for tariffs\u00a0will be applied:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u200b\u00a0 For consumers\/producers with monthly bills, on their electricity bills reflecting the meter reading of the end of January\u00a02023\u00a0and\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u200b For consumers\/producers with bills every two months, on their electricity bills reflecting the meter reading of 1st\u00a0Febrary\u00a02022 and afterwards.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The basic prices and fuel Adjustment Coefficients used for the purchase of electricity gemerated by RES for January – June 2023 will remain valid as approved by the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA), by its Decision No. 008\/2023.<\/p>\n
