\u200b\u200bFollowing an EAC study and subsequent proposal, the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) approved, by its Decision 285\/2020, a reduction to the Public Service Obligations (PSO) fee from \u20ac0,00055\/kWh to \u20ac0,00044\/kWh from 1 October\u00a02020.<\/p>\n
Specifically, the revised PSO fee will be applied to the bills of consumers who pay monthly, whose meter readings will start from the end of October \u200b2020 and to the bills of consumers who pay every two months, whose meter readings will start on 1 October\u00a02020.<\/p>\n
The PSO fee is applied in accordance with the relevant legislation, in accordance with which the Minister of Energy exercised his right to ask CERA to impose on suppliers of electricity a lower charge per unit to specific categories of vulnerable consumers.<\/p>\n
